Donald Fraser and his wife Jeanne lived in Invernesshire in the ealy part of the 18th century, marrying in 1737. Their son John was born in 1738. At some point he moved to Sandsend/Lythe in Yorkshire where he married Margaret Unthink (Unthank) on 18 May 1767 who was born there in 1743.
Sandsend is a small fishing village, near to Whitby in the Scarborough district of North Yorkshire, England. It forms part of the civil parish of Lythe.
Sandsend railway station was a railway station on the Whitby, Redcar and Middlesbrough Union Railway. It was opened on 3 December 1883, and served the villages of Sandsend and Lythe. It closed on 5 May 1958.
